Iznik Ceramics

Iznik is one of the most beatiful cities of Turkey.
İznik ceramics are fomous all around the world. Especially the ottoman period was the most magnificient period for ceramics. Many mosques, many palaces ( topkapi)  and ottoman relics was decorated with ceramics. Also, you can see the samples of Iznik ceramics at  British Museum, at Albert Museum, London.
Most common figures are the tulips, plum blossoms and branches in full blossom, rosettes, pomegranates,birds, vases in ceramics. Morever, there are many shops selling Iznik Ceramics at  Fatih distict and at Sultanahmet districts of Istanbul
