Antalya, Heaven for Holiday

Antalya is one of the  magnificient coastal city of Turkey. It has perfect sandy beaches and turquoise blue sea.  Also, it has famous caves and historical landmarks. It is the most famous touristic city in summer. It is full of luxury hotels, restaurants and houses for rent. Many famous actors, notable artists, famous footballers and royal families have chosen the Antalya as the holiday place.

It has very warm climate. You can swim even in April at Antalya.

Morever, Antalya famous for orange and mandarin. Greenhouse farming is very common in Antalya due to warm climate. 

Iskender Kebap, Bursa

Iskender kebab is one of the most famous food all around the Turkey.It's name comes from its inventor, İskender Efendi (English version is 'Alexander'), who lived in Bursa. It's main ingredients are the thinly cut grilled lamb, pita bread, yogurt, butter and tomato.

 Bursa city is the homeland of Iskender Kebap. Also , you can eat Iskender Kebap in every city of  Turkey. There are many Iskender Kebap restaurants throughout the Turkey.

Bebek district is one of the most beautiful district of Istanbul. You can see the excellent combination of sea, history and nature.
Bebek coast full of famous watersides which are ottoman-era residences.Also, it is full of famous restaurants and brunch areas.

Pumpkin dessert  is one of the favourite dessert of Turkey. It's main ingredients are pumpkin, sugar and grated walnut.  Also, you can find this dessert at patisseries of Istanbul and at other cities .

Asure, Prophet Noah's Pudding

Aşure is a traditional dessert prepared during asure week ( certain time of the year according to muslim religion ). Asure is a very delicious dessert. During the asure week, Turkish people makes asure and  distribute it to the neighbours. Asure is the symbol for celebrating the Asure Day in Muslim Religion. Morever, It symbolizes praises to God for the rescuing from big disaster and granting of abundance .

According to Muslim Belief, Prophet Noah's people were cursed because of their rebellions to God and to Noah. Noah and his supporters got on ship. Rest of the world has been destroyed by the order of God. Only, Noah and his supporters were rescued. After the big disaster, Noah's ark landed on Agrı (Ararat) mountain. People made asure to celebrate the end of the disaster and offer thanks to God . But , there were only grains, dried fruits at the ship. So they made asure with these ingredients. After that, Asure became a symbol of Asure day .

However, in Turkey, you can find aşure in pastry shops throughout the year.

Helva-Halva

Halva is one of the favourite desert of Turkey. It's main ingredients are crushed sesame seeds ,sugar, butter and floor. Konya city and Kastamonu city are famous for Halva. Also, you can find halva at supermarkets in Istanbul.

Dried Natural Corns

Dried Corn is one of the favorite winter food in Turkey. Especially, black sea region's cuisine based on the corn. People makes popcorn, corn bread, corn cake, corn salad etc.

In addition to these, the hamsi
( anchovy) are fried with corn flour. In pictures , you can see the black sea region's corns. There are many kinds of corns in Turkey 

Istanbul, Rumeli Hisari Castle, Bebek District of Istanbul

Rumelihisarı (Rumelian Castle) is a castle located in the Bebek district of Istanbul.  It was built by the Ottoman Emperor Mehmet II in 1451 ( just before he conquered Istanbul) Nowadays , it is used as concert venue in summers

Bodrum Castel, Bodrum -Turkey

Bodrum Castle ( Bodrum Kalesi) became the symbol of Bodrum. Today, it is used as unterwater museum.  Museum collections of the works: Turkish bath, amphoras, the East Roman Ship, Glass Hall, the Glass Wreck, Coin and Jewelry Shop, the Carian Princess Hall, British Tower, torture and slaughter room. 33.5 acres of land built on a wide open space works are exhibited in the castle.
