Yeni Cami Mosque -Eminonu District of Istanbul

This mosque was built by Safiye Sultan who was the sultan and wife of Sultan Murat . The architect was the apprentice of Great Architect Mimar Sinan. The construction took 60 years. Its' location is Eminonu district of Istanbul. Today ,Eminonu is known as historical peninsula. Eminonu have been the center of commerce, culture and religion. The art and design of the mosque reflects the magnificence of the Ottoman Empire. This mosque is next to the spice bazaar.
